I had a good time hearing where different people were as far as their staying focussed on God throughout the day - some are trying different methods - singing, meditating on Scripture, journaling, etc.
I am still experimenting on training myself in thinking about and conversing with God throughout the day - my favorite times are in the morning as I get up, read Scripture and walk the dog. That little guy (the dog) gets up awfully early so we get out when it is dark and quiet - just me, Jack the dog, the birds and God.
I also am finding that talking with God throughout the day tends to push me to being more honest with God - more open and honest about what I am feeling and thinking at any given moment. Rather than just thinking about something or worrying about it - I am learning to pray as I think and give it over to God.
I am still no where near where I want to be - but that's what experiments are all about. Learning, growing, seeking new answers and life change. I'll keep you posted.

Your final thought on not being where you want to be. To me that is very insightful. None of us should even be content with where we are right now. We are not perfect like Jesus. Therefore we can not be satisfied with who and what we are right now. If we ever think we are at the top of the food chain spiritually or where God wants us be...let us always look to Him. Inevitably we will be looking up. That will be humbling. Even when we do get to heaven, we will be sitting at Gods feet...still looking up to Him.
